Description: A wolf-dog hybrid is a canid hybrid resulting from the mating of a wolf and a domesticated dog. The term "wolfdog" is preferred by most wolfdog proponents and breeders.

Temperament: Wouldn't suggest you have this breed if you have children or expect to have children around un-supervised. According to the CDC the wolfdog ranks sixth in the number of dog attack fatalities in the U.S., with 14 hybrid-related fatalities between 1979 and 1998 in the United States.

Height, Weight: The height and weight of the Wolfdog will depend on the size of the parents, both the domesticated Dog and the Timber Wolf parent as well as the current size of the Wolf Dog puppy.

Health Problems: Wolf-dog hybrids are generally said to be naturally healthy animals, and are affected by fewer inherited diseases than most breeds of dog. Wolfdogs are usually healthier than either parent due to heterosis.

Exercise Required: Daily exercise is suggested. Room to roam and a tall fence is a big plus when having this time of dog.

Litter Size: 3-8 puppies per litter on average

Grooming: Tend to have a medium length coat. Some coats are thicker than others.
Can stay in colder climates.
