Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier & Poodle Designer/Hybrid Dog Breed

Dog Breed Name: Whoodle, Whoodles, Swheat-n-Poo, Wheaten Terrier Poodle Mix, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier & Poodle hybrid

Description: The Whoodle is a designer dog breed that comes from crossing the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier & Poodle breeds together. The Poodle can be Standard, Miniature or Toy in size.

Temperament: The Whoodle makes a great house pet and generally get along well with other dogs as well as children. Smarter than the average dog breed. As with any designer breed you must take into consideration the parents personalities as well as the socialization of the puppy or dog in question.

Height, Weight: The height and weight of the Whoodle dog will depend on the size of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier & Poodle parents as well as the current size of the Whoodle puppy.

Health Problems: Designer or Hybrid dogs tend to have less health problems than many of the full blood breeds but again the parents genetics will play a big part in the health and longivity of the Whoodle dog. Of course the usual health problems related to the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier & Poodle can show up in the Whoodle dog.

Living Condition: In general you can expect a Whoodle dog to do well in just about any size apartment or home. Don't mind the cold weather. Love to play outside.

Exercise Required: Daily exercise is suggested. You should take your Whoodle for daily walks or runs. A fenced yard or large area to run and play is ideal. Frisbees and other fetch toys seem to be some of the favorite toys of the Whoodle breed.

Life Expectancy: 12-15 years on average

Litter Size: 3-5 puppies per litter on average

Grooming: The Whoodle dog tends to have a medium length coat which can be groomed as you wish. The puppy cut is an option or you can let it grow. Other hair cut options are available at your local groomer. Ask to see pictures of the different styles your dog groomer has available.
